Faidra Chafta Douka is a Berlin based composer. Her artistic practice includes instrumental, musical theatre and performance pieces, often dealing with processes, repetitions and the poetry that arises from the captured fictional framework of a live performance.
Since 2019 she is a doctoral candidate of artistic research at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and the Zurich University of Arts, where she researches compositional methods based on the performer's body, the process of rehearsal, questions of notation as visualisation and expression of thought and the concept of ritual.
