Malin Sieberns

Malin Sieberns is a flutist in Berlin’s contemporary music scene and has performed at festivals such as Ultraschall Berlin, Berliner Festspiele, Impuls Festival, Klangwerkstatt Festival, and Berlin Art Week.

She received her musical training at the University of the Arts Berlin with Annette von Stackelberg and Martin Glück. During her studies, she won first prize at the Eisler Forum and deepened her practice in masterclasses with Ensemble Recherche and Ensemble Modern, as well as at the Darmstadt Summer Course. She recently completed her Master’s degree in New Music at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, graduating with distinction.

From 2023 to 2025, Malin was a Fellow at Density Arts, a program under the artistic direction of Claire Chase. In recent years, Malin has premiered numerous new works—both as a soloist and within various ensembles. Together with guitarist Kanahi Yamashita, she forms Duo Musubi, with which she won first prize at the 2025 Gerhard Vogt Competition.

Malin sees contemporary music as a space for shared imagination and sensitive connection, where art engages with the world instead of withdrawing from it.
